Marco & Ken, the founders of Firehose Project, are active code mentors and seasoned technical educators. Together they taught hundreds of students how to code and build applications at places like Harvard Business School, Carnegie Mellon, Babson College, Rhode Island School of Design, Brown University, Punahou School and 'Iolani School.
At Firehose Project, they combined a real world coding curriculum with world class mentors to give you professional grade coding skills.

Ken Mazaika is a web developer and Ruby on Rails contributor. Previously he was a tech lead at WHERE.com (acquired by PayPal) and a member of the PayPal/eBay development team in Boston. In a previous life he turned a health insurance quotes generator from a $400/day web application into a $40,000/day business.
Mike is a developer at ProductHunt and an accomplished author of the Heroku Cookbook. Previously, he's built and scaled web applications at Gazelle and was a cofounder of Taskk.
Bob Breznak is an adjunct professor of computer science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and the VP of Engineering at a early stage startup, after being one of the leading web developers at EverTrue - a TechStars company.
Ian is a senior engineer at Localytics, a mobile analytics company. Previously, he was VP of Engineering at CarePort, a TechStars company, and worked as a senior web developer at PayPal and WHERE.com - which was acquired by PayPal for $130M.
Travis is a reliability engineer at ZEFR. In addition to helping build the infrastructure, he supports multiple web apps using technologies like Mesos, Flask, Lettuce, and AngularJS.

Jeremy is a digital library frameworks specialist for The University of Notre Dame. He's been programming for 17 years in various industries. For the last 9 years he has worked primarily on the server side of Ruby on Rails applications. He's always eager to spread the word on testing and improving code craft.
Sam has been building web applications professionally for over seven years. She designed and created her own programming language and enjoys contributing to open source projects in her spare time.
Ahmad is a full-stack web developer, working at Shopify and living in Toronto, Canada.
Kevin is a principal software engineer at Varian Semiconductor Equipment. Previously, he was a senior gameplay engineer at LucasArts and Irrational Games. He has a number of years of experience as a senior web developer consulting to Fortune 500 companies and is an active entrepreneur.
Piotr’s experience as a web developer spans across multiple companies and countries. Originally from Poland, he built software for Woumedia in Denmark and Com Laude in the UK. He is a huge proponent of Behavior Driven Development and high quality code.
Jason is the co-founder and lead developer at GaggleAMP - amplifying the social media message for companies like Groupon and having shared more than 7 Billion messages through its platform.
Seth is a full stack developer in Chicago. He founded and built Bike Index, the largest online bike registry in the world (it's also open source).
Seth is the CTO of Toasty Automation. In addition to building web apps with Rails for nearly a decade, he specializes in embedded systems and network programming.
Christoph has been a software engineer for 10+ years. During that time he has worked for multiple companies, ranging from a 4 person startup to a Fortune 500 company. He has given talks in multiple cities, including Los Angeles and Sydney.
Mike is the lead engineer at Gotham Tech Labs. He is also the technical advisor for Panoptic Development, a company he co-founded. Previously he was a senior software engineer at Public Display and a software engineering consultant.
James is a senior ruby developer with experience at the University of Georgia and corporate giants like Intuit and Raytheon.
Ranjit became the Founder & Chief Architect at AraJoy, Inc., while pursuing his Master's Degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, specializing in Computational Perception & Robotics. He has software engineering experience in every type of environment, from Fortune 500 companies to leading a few startups (and everything in between), coding in almost every tech stack, and is now an entrepreneurial innovator in the tech industry.
Marco is a web developer and User Experience product manager. He consulted Fortune 500 companies like P&G and John Deere, won Boston's biggest Hackathon (Angelhack) and most recently led the user experience for peerTransfer, building a $800M/year international tuition payment platform. In an earlier life, he travelled around the world on $25/day for an entire year.
Matthew is the former head of product and technology at Flickr & Bitly. He created a number of popular open source projects, including lolcommits and emojitracker.
Tyler sold his first company for 5-figures in high-school and was the youngest founder to be admitted into Y-Combinator. Currently he's a software developer at Teespring - a Y-Combinator company.
Michael is a senior web developer at Liaison International and brings 10+ years of senior web development experience to the table. Next to building applications for leading tech companies he also freelances and works on several side projects.
Matt is a senior engineer at HouseTrip, he has helped them scale their product to manage and list over 300,000 properties in 250 countries. Matt has also advised the BBC on technical projects and currently maintains several open source projects that are used by 1000's of developers around the world.
Gavin is currently a founder at Kugadi, a startup seeking to empower security guards and other mobile workers of the world through technology. He has more than 20 years of experience building software using many different technologies and languages.
Phil is the founder of Parkverse and previously worked as a full stack developer at Curriculet.
John specializes in Ruby on Rails and Postgresql, among other technologies. He is currently a software engineer and small business consultant at his company John Lawrence Small Business Systems. He previously worked for and co-founded Zen Ventures which launched software for multiple businesses that collectively gross over $2M annually.
Ben is a software engineer at Doximity, the largest HIPAA-secure medical network in the country, helping the vast majority of doctors in the US stay connected. In addition to being a full-stack developer, he also programs in Go.
Sean is a full-stack web developer and entrepreneur who contributed to the source code of Ruby on Rails and other open source projects, used by thousands of developers.
Federico has been a full-stack Ruby developer for 10 years. He has mentored and trained over 50 professional developers at his company Tangosource.
Jason has over 10 years of software engineering experience and is the Technical Director at BatchBlue Software, where he helps small businesses improve their customer relationships.
